Title: Great heater
Content: This really puts out the heat. It is beautiful and the remote is a great plus. Might keep it out of the bedroom if you are a light sleeper and depending on it for heat. It is a bit loud when it lights and shuts off. This started off in our room but now resides in the livingroom where it gets tons of compliments.

Title: Looks great
Content: This thing puts out the heat! I cannot use it for more than a few hours because the area (living room, dining and kitchen) gets up to over 80 degrees. I bought a blower for it - don’t know if it really helps. When my installer put it in, he had to take the fireplace out of the mantel several times. He scratched/gouged the crap out of the mantel because there are some really sharp edges on the bottom on the firebox. Keep that in mind if you buy this item so it doesn’t happen to you. He had a really hard time fixing the scratches/gouges because he couldn’t get stain to adhere. I only used it a few times last season but it came in really handy during a winter storm and power outage. I fired it up this season and have not been able to get the remote to work. Speaking of the remote - you are supposed to set a temperature and the flame goes out until the temp drops down and then it’s supposed to come back on but I wasn’t able to get that to work. Maybe if I read the book? Insert struggling emoji here…lol

Title: DO NOT PURCHASE Duluth Forge FDF300T Dual Fuel Ventless Gas Fireplace-26,000 BTU in Walnut
Content: UPDATE FEBRUARY 12, I contacted the Amazon vender on December 14 and gave them the story. The vendor went to Duluth Forge and fought over this bad product. Finally this week I got a part in the mail that might fix this. I have to pay my plumber to come out and install it (this is his third service call now). The part is clearly labeled “made in China” so their advertising is false. UPDATE DECEMBER 11, After Duluth Forge sending me several Emails asking questions about my fireplace I received this response today: "Hello Donna, You bought your unit under unauthorized seller Budget goods. They would have to assist you." So I say, RUN FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR PRODUCT. UPDATE NOVEMBER 20TH, I had this professionally installed (licensed plumber) the first of October. Everything was working, but it was still too warm to use. This week I attempted to light the pilot light to no avail. I called the plumber, he attempted to light it but could not. He could get the flames to ignite, but since the pilot would not light it would auto-shut-off (no heat to the thermocoupler). I tried to call the number for service and support, it gives a recording saying we needed to send an Email. Email has been sent, no response, so NO SUPPORT. This is an expensive fireplace, I purchased it as a back up heating system, it DOES NOT WORK AND THE COMPANY HAS NOT RESPONDED. ORIGINAL REVIEW (5 STAR) This fireplace is beautiful. It fit right in front of my rock wall and compliments my living room. It is not too large or too small. It came in two boxes, one is the wood outer mantle, the directions were easy to understand and all of the materials came in the package. The second box had the fire box and the logs. It was also pretty simple to assemble, I had a bit of trouble with the front vent, but was able to figure it out. I called my plumber and he took my old fireplace out and put this one in in a few hours. I just love it!

Title: Dont get the remote operated one
Content: It heats well but the remote operated one either heats 26,000 btu or none at all. I would rather had the one that has multiple setting to run lower heat when needed. Mine cuts on and off ALL the time.

Title: Puts out a LOT of heat
Content: This fireplace is amazing. Had a bit of trouble getting the top vent piece installed but this fireplace would probably heat a bigger area than listed. We’ve had temps of 9 degrees with a negative wind chill for a week which is unusual for us, and it has heated my 1200 sq ft home to the point I’m sweating and it is not an open floor plan. It has kept the entire house hot only set on 3 on thermostat. It goes to a 5. It’s well worth the money!!

Title: Nice looking
Content: A very nice looking piece of supplemental heat, logs look great. Installation was easy enough but the instructions are poor, leave out a lot of detail so common sense is required.

Title: Heats up very well
Content: I had always wanted a fire place. I was looking on Amazon and seen this and so I brought it. The only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t a control for the fire to lower the flames
