Content: Needed to redo the fireplace. Old burner was neglected for 12 years. Bought to replace the old burner. Looked at flimsy aluminum hose that come with kit and thought...is this really the safest way to connect this? After watching some utube videos where they all left the connector tube inside the fireplace, it seems this is the case. I do not know of a more practical way to connect the burner and pan to a 1/2 in steel gas pipe using standard gas pipe fittings as you would need to rotate the burner and pan assembly around the gas pipe and you can't. It fired up nicely and did not blow up the house. You need something to cover up the burner and pan: fire glass, lava rock, vermiculite or whatever. Otherwise the flames sit 4" below the logs on top of the grate. So I will be ordering some of that. The grate is very solid with welded construction. Appears to be 304 stainless as advertised. The legs bolted on with an Allen wrench.

It fired up nicely and did not blow up the house. You need something to cover up the burner and pan: fire glass, lava rock, vermiculite or whatever. Otherwise the flames sit 4" below the logs on top of the grate. So I will be ordering some of that. The grate is very solid with welded construction. Appears to be 304 stainless as advertised. The legs bolted on with an Allen wrench.

Content: Works amazing is a bit loud on low flame but quiet on full blast . Puts out an enormous amount of heat ! Retrofitted an old wood log fireplace with a gas log lighter. Used ceramic logs and glass full to cover up the burner plate and it looks like a pro install.
